BBQ Ribs & Pork Cooking Class


This past saturday I went to a cooking class at Brown's Kitchen here in Tallahassee. BBQ Ribs and Pork was the subject of the class it was well worth the $15.00. We also learned how to make a multi-bean bake beans. They were good but nothing compared to my husbands bake beans we're still gonna try and make them at home just to get the family opinion. This coming saturday the class is Everything Chicken if you don't have anything else to do and want to learn more cooking recipes stop by the class. I will be back........ Here is the link to the calendar for more info......

Fall 2012 Tablescape

This is my Fall 2012 Tablescape weekend before last I went home and my mom had already decorated for the fall season. I thought to myself girl you better get on it cause momma got it looking like Fall had truly arrived in the Carter House. So this weekend was the perfect time for me to play catch up using some old pieces and add a few new pieces. Please forgive some of my pictures I am still learning how to use this camera.


                   These glasses, my husband brought for me from Kirklands a couple of years ago.
Something new : Felt Shaped Leaves used as placemates from Dollar Tree various colors available. Walmart had something similar by Better Homes & Gardens $1.98 but I saved a couple of bucks and went with these and got these cute leaf shaped glass holders as well.

Also my new this year are these Salad plates from Walmart- Better Homes & Gardens Collection. $2.98.

Well I LOVE MY FINISH PRODUCT FALL IS NOW AT THE JOHNSON HOUSE. This post is for my mom for teaching me how to decorate my house for the seasons....I just put a little Jeriesha (Divine Inspirations) on it :) Luv Ya!

Cream Cheese Brownie Pie

Cream Cheese Brownie Pie recipe

This recipe I got from Kraftfoods.com mine didn't turn out exactly like this but it tasted really good, so good luck...

Time prep: 30 min                                              Total: 1 hr 15 min

Servings total: 10 servings

What You Need

1 ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 14.1-oz. pkg.)
1 pkg.  (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup  sugar
3 eggs, divided
6 squares  BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup  butter
2/3 cup  sugar
1 tsp.  vanilla
1 cup  flour
1 square  BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
1 square  BAKER'S White Chocolate, melted

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.
PREPARE crust as directed on package, using 9-inch pie plate. Beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 egg in medium bowl until well blended; set aside.
MICROWAVE 6 squares semi-sweet chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add 2/3 cup sugar; mix well. Blend in remaining eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended. Spread half the brownie batter into crust. Carefully spread cream cheese mixture over brownie batter in crust; cover with remaining brownie batter.
BAKE 45 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Cool completely on wire rack. Drizzle with melted chocolates.

Crustless Cream Cheese Brownie Pie
Save 100 calories and 7 g of fat per serving by preparing without the pie crust. Spray 9-inch pie pan with cooking spray. Prepare filling as directed; pour into pie plate. Bake at 350°F for 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs.

Make a celebration extra special with this delicious pie!
How to Soften Cream Cheese
Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.
